Welcome to the Deathworld Wikia[]

Welcome to the Deathworld wikia. Our goal is to provide a database and encylopedia for the Deathworld book series by Harry Harrison. Anyone can improve this wikia by improving existing pages and creating new ones.

Just a note. Most of the information of this wiki comes from the trilogy in a single book. Deathworld is copyrighted in 1960, Deathworld 2 in 1964, and Deathworld 3 is in 1968, published by Nelson Doubleday, Inc. Deathworld, the version for the Kindle e-reader from Amazon.com appears to be the same version. But, Deathworld 2 is available in two Kindle versions. Deathworld 2 seems to be an abbreviated version of the trilogy version and The Ethical Engineer Kindle version may be a reprint of the science fiction anthology version, written for a younger audience, has some illustrations and is somewhat abbreviated. Deathworld 3 is not available in Kindle format. The description here is from the trilogy book.

Deathworld 2 (The Ethical Engineer)[]

We begin Deathworld 2 (The Ethical Engineer) with Jason waking up being held prisoner in a chair on the bridge of a small spaceship piloted by Mikah Simon, a leader of a group that believes that they hold the key to what is right and what is wrong. Mikah is taking Jason back to Cassylia to be tried for his crimes. Jason and Mikah crash land on a planet where each clan holds a single secret of technology where Jason pits each of them against the other, and Jason uses this to plan an escape from the planet.
